Three Phases of Movement


1. A RESTING position uses legs for BALANCE and shifts body mass into the rope.

2. Use the pendulums outer line to TRANSITION your centre of mass into a vertical position above the heel.  Stand vertically, maintaining good posture, keep elbows tucked, remove slack from the system.

3. Return to a RESTING position … and repeat.


An opposed second climbing line allows climber to maintain a constant NEUTRAL position.
